(Shelter Note:  Shawna was one of our shelter cats who broke our hearts because she was with us for what seemed like an eternity.  We could never understand why everyone always overlooked her.  Needless to say, we were overjoyed when Shawna's adopters made her a permanent part of their lives.  Thank you!!)

Shawna is wonderful!  We adopted her in January 2006, and she adjusted very quickly to her new home.  We were told that at the shelter that she "has her moments", and she was a little touchy at first, a little quick to lash out with teeth or claws if we weren't petting her quite right.  As we got to
know each other, though, she mellowed out a lot.  She's now very loving, a great lap cat, and friendly to visitors.  She's playful, curious, and an
excellent jumper and climber.  She explores everything and everywhere, and she occasionally "dusts" in areas that we've obviously missed. 
Shawna gets along all right with our other two cats.  She gets along well
with the oldest cat, but Moon isn't a playful cat.  We had hoped that she
could be playmates with Lily, our middle cat, but Lily just hasn't taken to
Shawna yet.  She tolerates her, but keeps her distance.  We're still hoping
that maybe Lily will change her mind someday and give Shawna a chance. 
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our home with this great
little cat!
