India
1 year/ spayed female
India used to roam the streets with no one who would claim
her. Now that she's with us, she is enjoying the comforts of a warm bed
and fresh food. What she's not enjoying, however, is being cooped up in
a cage. This independent girl would love a big home to spend the rest of
her life.

Victor and Vinnie
(5
months/neutered males)
You might say these two are in love. So often we meet
people who are interested in adopting two cats. These boys are obviously
good candidates!

Bernadette
3 years/spayed female
Bernadette came to us over two years ago with her babies.
All of her babies have long been adopted, but Bernadette still waits.
She's earned the title, "Queen of the Condo," as she rules the roost in the
cat condo.
In order to give Bernadette more roaming space, we tried to
let her stay at Complete Petmart - a local store who will host our cats.
Sadly, they asked us to take her back because she didn't like being held by
all of the customers. Can you really blame her, though? We just know
there has to be someone out there who will understand her.
Please give this sweet mama a chance.

Ululani, Keilana
and Kiana
(12 weeks/ spayed females)
These
kitty-poos spent several weeks in foster care, which means they're extra
friendly. It also means they're extra sad now living in a cage.
Come by and adopt them! Give them the good life. |

Ophelia
(1 year/spayed female)
Ophelia is literally a sweet mama. She and
her two babies would love to get the heck out of their cage and lounge on a
window sill. We hope Ophelia doesn't have to live at the shelter for too
long.

Who

Mitzy
(2
years/spayed female)
One
day, PWP received a phone call from a vet. The vet told us a client
took her cat to the clinic to have her euthanized. Meet Mitzy.
According to the owner, Mitzy was mean. The vet, however, saw much
differently and told the owner Mitzy would go to a shelter to find a new
home. The vet also knew the family had a history of trying to
euthanize their cats after only a few years. There really are no words
to explain such an absurdity. So, fortunately, Mitzy found a guardian
angel and now lives at PWP, awaiting her forever (and safe) home.

Natty
(2 years/pit mix/spayed female)
This is the sweet mama dog who has raised her
adorable pups. We worry that Natty will have to wait for a very long
time to find a forever home and watch all of her babies leave. She is
a great mama - she loves to play with her babies and is quite gentle (wanna
adopt mama and a pup???!!!) Please
come by to meet Natty. She is an amazingly loving dog with a great
spirit. She would love to meet you.

The "Beer" litter
(12 weeks/neutered males)
Wow -as you can see, these babes are growing up
before our eyes. They came to us in their mama's womb (she's pictured
to the side). Now they're bouncing bundles of puppy love. They
are super, super sweet, well-socialized pups. Don't believe the myths
about pits! Do some more research and see how many people are happy
with their pits. We're sure you'll fall in love if you'll just give
them a chance.
|

The "J" Litter
(8
weeks/spayed female/neutered male)
These
pups are part of a large litter - 7 total. They love playing with each
other, but will stop to receive some TLC from people. It's no fun
growing up in a cage. They'd love to feel soft grass beneath their
paws. If you have the time and resources, as well as a big heart,
adopt one of the J pups.
|

Rainbow
(8 weeks/Lhasa-poodle mix/spayed female)
Every day is a bad hair day for Rainbow, but it
doesn't matter - it just seems to make her cuter. Rainbow and several
other pups and dogs at our shelter came from a backyard breeder.
Backyard breeders are similar to puppymills; they just operate on a smaller
scale. These breeders breed dogs, caring only for profit. They
don't care about the dogs' social, mental, emotional, or physical
well-being. Fortunately, this breeder was shut down. The pups
are a bit shy, but with time, they'll grow out of it. Roughly 25 more
dogs and pups are waiting to get into PWP, so come by and meet Rainbow, so
we can help save more.
|

Dyson
(1 year/Lhasa-poodle mix/neutered male)
Poor Dyson also came from the backyard breeder.
He lived for a year without love and affection. At first he was a bit
tentative around people, but once he realized we were just going to love
him, he opened up. Now he craves attention. We've told him what
a real home is like and he can't wait to experience one. |
|

Hoover
(1 year/Lhasa-poodle mix/neutered male)
Okay - seriously - how can you resist that face?
Sure he has some food dribble on his chin, but who can blame him? He
lived in deplorable conditions prior to living at the shelter, and his diet
was less than adequate. He now thinks he's dining at a five-star
restaurant. Hoover was once a bit shy, but now he is blossoming from
all the TLC. Save a pet - adopt Hoover! |
