Stop House Bill 568

Ohio Representative Yates is

proposing a pit bull ban.  House Bill 568, if passed, would ban all pits in Ohio.  All pits would be seized and killed.  This Bill must fail!  PWP has saved countless pits and placed them in loving, forever homes (to which our adopters can attest).  Banning a breed does not solve the true problem:  irresponsible owners.  Please write your representative and tell him/her to oppose this Bill.  Countless communities in Ohio have already passed such absurd restrictions.  The heart of the problem is the pit overpopulation crisis and irresponsible owners.  Let's focus on spaying/neutering and getting the bad owners!!

This ban cannot go statewide.

Lemonade Stand benefits PWP

On Saturday, June 21st, Camryn and Griffin Burcham, 8 year old twins, decided to make a difference in the lives of PWP pets.  The duo set up a Pink Lemonade Brigade stand, donated by Crayola.  Prior to Saturday, Camryn and Griffin applied to Crayola, explaining that they wanted to help homeless pets in central Ohio.  Their efforts raised lots of money for the shelter...410.00!!!  Plus, they inspired many by showing we can all make a difference.  Thanks, Camryn and Griffin!

Send a Shelter Pet to Doggie Daycare!

Park Your Paws Doggie Daycare and Pets Without Parents, both Clintonville businesses, are partnering for the pets.

It's no secret that shelter pets hate being cooped up in their cages.  Why not give them some get away time and send them to daycare?  For just 15.00, you can spring a pet for a half day of fun.  Not only are you helping the pets get much needed exercise and socialization, you're likely also helping them get adopted.  They'll be much more relaxed in their cages when people visit.

Check out Park Your Paws' website to see what paradise awaits our shelter pets.
