Franklin (Kept PWP Name!)  AKA Frank, Frankman  (Ohio Countries Litter)

Survivor, (Begrudging) Brother, Treat Lover
It's wild to believe the little pup in the picture is now almost 15! He lived in Columbus for many years with his cat brothers (one of which he is pictured with here - Optimus (formerly Fred from the Scooby Doo litter adopted in Fall 2006, another PWP alum who has sadly passed), mom and dad. He loved going to doggie daycare for many years but has always preferred to be the only dog at home! He is not a big snuggler and prefers his personal space (much to his parent's dismay), but will still let you snuggle up to him a little if it means he gets a treat after :)
Franklin has spent his last two and a half years as a city dog living in downtown Chicago. He's a recent cancer survivor (in remission over a year!), has Cushing Disease, and is losing some muscle in his back legs but has an overall excellent quality of life. He loves visiting the dog treat truck that comes to our neighborhood weekly and going on short walks around town. He begrudgingly welcomed a human brother last year but does like him a little more now that he drops food on the ground!
We love Franklin so much and are so grateful for PWP for rescuing him so he could join our family! We know our time remaining with him is limited and we are cherishing every moment :)

Nola    FKA: Inferno

Very Special Cat
Nola was a very special cat, her sometimes odd mannerisms and behavior were always super endearing. All our friends and family who met her ended up having a special place in their heart for her (and she always made sure to come out and visit whenever we had people over). Sadly she passed away this past spring, according to our records she was almost 16 years old.

Nola always knew what she wanted and advocated for herself, she ended up with us well trained to cater to her every whim. She was best friends with our cat Saint, a rescued Siamese and eventually warmed up to Dab (Havarti).
