Lost and Found

You will first want to post the pet as lost or found with a few organizations, create flyers, visit local shelters and rescues, and alert neighbors.

Dogs:
  • Visit the Franklin County Auditor's E-Bulletin Board for lost and found dogs.
  • File a report with the Franklin County Dog Shelter and the Capital Area Humane Society by phone or in person.
Cats & Dogs:
  • Post as lost or found at PetFBI.org.  Also, check that it has not already been posted in the opposite category.
  • Check with local pet rescues to to see if they have a found pet, the best option is to visit each rescue in person so there can be no confusion over the details of identifying your pet.
  • Make fliers with a current picture of your pet and post in the area in which the pet was lost or found, including rescues and veterinarian clinics.
  • Speak to your neighbors and let them know your pet is missing.  Good Luck!

Spay & Neuter

We all need to do our part in reducing the homeless pet population.  Affordable veterinary care and spay/neuter programs can be found in our area.   Visit CDC and SOS Ohio
